Hydrometeorologists from the Afghanistan Meteorological Department (AMD) demonstrated to WMO partners and donors how they are using the technology, infrastructure and weather forecasting skills they've acquired through the WMO Afghanistan Early Warning System project funded by @usaid. This is a critical step towards building AMD's capability for issuing #severeweather forecasts and warnings, including #flashfloods, to the Afghan people.
