Jenna has volunteered in our Wimbledon shop for the past four months. She offers her support in many areas of the shop, from working on the tills to sorting books. When asked what her favourite thing about volunteering is, Jenna said: “Working with people, meeting new volunteers, and feeling like I am part of a large family and feeling valued.” Jenna decided to become a volunteer as her parents both suffer from heart related conditions. Jo Payne from Newton Abbot is currently taking on a challenge with a difference to raise money for the BHF. She’s taken it upon herself to wear a different fancy dress outfit every day for 108 days! “I’ll be wearing all sorts of crazy outfits like a sumo wrestler, hot dog, pizza slice, frog, nun, elephant, baby and a strawberry - the list is endless!” We can’t wait to see more photos!

A real life super hero! Ryan Reynolds revealed that he was able to help save the life of his nephew after learning #CPR. Speaking about his CPR training, Ryan quipped: "And thank you to these two helpful yet lifeless dolls whose vacant ocular cavities will haunt me until end times." Residents of Old Sodbury turn a derelict phone box into a life saving defibrillator station! Defibrillators are being housed in disused telephone boxes across the UK and we think it’s a great idea! Have you spotted one?
Congratulations to a team of friends who have just completed a 150 mile kayak down the Thames to raise money for the BHF! Leading the group was Adam who lost his son, Finn, to a heart condition when he was just a few months old. Together, they are aiming to raise £10,000 for our life saving heart research.
