In this exchange, HHS Secretary Kennedy admitted today that he lied to the Health Committee during his confirmation hearing where he said he supports the measles vaccine.

To me, he admitted that he is NOT recommending the measles vaccine. That’s going to get kids killed.

I am a CT family physician, and I thank you for holding him accountable. This is incredibly dangerous policy for my patients. I am appalled at where we stand right now in the landscape of American medicine. Unbelievable. I feel like practicing in the dark ages.

I don’t understand why we have to go to such great lengths to get someone like RFK to literally do their job. His whole job is to make recommendations (or not) and he literally cannot even do that. These questions that we are asking ALL of these appointees about the literal basis of their jobs would’ve been unthinkable to ask in previous times. Just like the fact that the president does not even know if it is his job to uphold the Constitution.
