Ever Feel Like You’re Doing The Work of 4 People?
How many jobs can one person have? Marco Rubio wears many hats, from his role as Secretary of State to his new position, Interim National Security Director.
The president announced that he’s moving current National Security Advisor Mike Waltz to the UN where he’ll be US Ambassador to the UN. This, after he was caught creating an off the books signal chat in which he accidentally included a journalist. Notably, the Secretary of Defense who shared sensitive military information on that unclassified chat remains in his job. Mike Waltz’ deputy is also being released from his duties at the White House.
So who will be NSA director? Marco Rubio. Who also holds three other jobs. Could Rubio possibly be doing all four of his jobs well? Please. Each is a full time undertaking.
For one, as Acting Administrator of USAID, Rubio is overseeing the rapid dismantling of an organization that may be violating the Federal Records Act. But who is responsible for upholding the Federal Records Act? Acting Archivist Marco Rubio of course!
Rubio is a trusted ally of chief of staff Susie Wiles. He’s also a loyal lieutenant. This is one way to concentrate power in the White House and undermine the ability to each of these divisions to effectively do their job….or offer counsel that Trump might not agree with. It’s also so very now.
Who else feels like they’re doing 4 people’s jobs?
And what job should Rubio take on next? Wrong answers only, please.

Maybe he can be the king’s Groom of the Stool. That way he can both wipe his bottom as well as kiss it.
