  • mama__wilsonI love Precheck!!!
  • bigirishjon@djackson812 TSA is not the first line of defense to prevent terrorist from boarding aircraft within the US. TSA is part of the equation but the Intelligence Community, including DHS, play a large role.
  • lisagailsmiles@djackson812 Are you new? Every day, they pull potential weapons off airplanes, any off which could be used to commit a terrorist attack.
  • nickisincharge@jon91498 @liasgailsmilea@djakcson812 There's a unit of seals that dress in plain clothes as civilians and go and check on TSA security, they make attempts on bringing weapons and explosives that are quite simple and they've never been caught, you may think cause they're seals they have a advantage but actually they use very simple tactics
  • nickisincharge@jon91498 @lisagailsmiles @djackson812 I actually went through TSA a couple of days ago and they did a full body scan of everybody and it's a 500000 dollar machine and I had a candy wrapper and a piece of paper and lint in my pocket, don't you think the machine should've known that? No I got the full pat down, it couldn't tell the difference between paper and a knife!
  • bigirishjon@nickisincharge I've read about the SEALs and other Special Operations Forces conducting red cell operations. Fortunately the lessons learned can be used to improved screening procedures. SEAL Team Six, or whatever they are called now, also conducted operations against submarine bases in the 1980s to point out security flaws. The SEALs allegedly also were able to penetrate a base security where Air Force One was being held and plant a fake explosives device either on the aircraft or close proximity to the aircraft. No system is perfect, we can only hope TSA incorporates lessons learned.
  • josiah_ryanAh man @tsa thinks it's cool to brag about the security state they made
  • oliefan37@djackson812 What you should be asking is how many terrorists have been deterred.
