  • ianth3korean@vintagediver Yeah I'm definitely a mechanical guy too! If I were to purchase a GS I would save up a little extra and purchase a hi-beat.
  • oscar.chris@ianth3korean, So was it seiko brand that was underated or overpriced? What do you think?

  • ianth3korean@vintagediver Thanks! I'll check that out.
  • ianth3korean@oscarchr I think Grand Seiko is very underrated. I love Swiss brands too, but hate when ignorant people disregard seiko like it's some cheap Wal Mart brand.
  • alexclarklaOne of the marks of a true watch lover is an appreciation of Seiko, its incredibly diverse product line, its history of innovation, and its rightful place at the pinnacle of horology. The GS style isn't for everyone, but anyone who understands and appreciates watchmaking ought to respect Seiko.
  • nobleandgraff@ianth3korean true, not just the grand seikos, the cheap SKX007 are way underrated too.
  • bobbyho@fungalicon
  • voxnaesSeiko is a great brand! But at 4000 you know most would look around for something else....
  • kunals07@jcny
  • vmce@briangarhan 4k
  • briangarhan@vmce_ YEEE
  • jesperpuckSuper cool watch.
  • scotton_on@siuiiboy lol 4k for quartz seiko??
  • matthew_haydenWhat makes people not respect Seiko is they make cheap Chinese made $100 watches. No matter how great a Grand Seiko is that is why no one gives them the time of day. @ianth3korean
  • ianth3korean@matthew_hayden You do realize that most brands, including many Swiss luxury brands, use parts sourced/made in China. Omega's bracelets, for example, are made in China.
  • matthew_hayden@ianth3korean Oh yeah! Used to work in the retail of the watch industry. Only 50% of total cost has to be made in Switzerland for it to come under "Swiss Made". But Seiko for their cheap models are made in China.
  • siuiiboy@scotton_on nop no way
  • randy_belloSeiko is a victim of its own success, being known more for the cheap quartz and automatics that they make. A GS, however, is an entirely diff animal. I own a GS quartz and 2 Rollies. I can say that the level of finishing on my GS is at least on par, if not, better than my Rollies. Do take the time to actually handle a GS before making off the cuff comments. You might reconsider after handling one
  • frogman4meAwesome! GS is an incredible watch, often misunderstood and under appreciated. Worth every penny I agree
