Good morning! For our final day we're beginning on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania at the Anne & Jerome Fisher Fine Arts Library (also known as the Furness Library). Described as part fortress and part cathedral, the red sandstone, brick and terra cotta building is of Venetian Gothic design. It was created by famed Philadelphia architect Frank Furness to be the University's primary library and to house its archeological collection. The building was completed in 1890 and dedicated in 1891. …………………………………………….… Photo by Guest Instagrammer @aengle215 ……………………………………………… #visitphilly #phillyarchitecture #architecture #phillygram #igers_philly #vscocam #vsco_spotlight #bestofvsco
