DYK? This year marks the 20 year anniversary of the debut of #HoopDreams at Sundance Film Festival, the TPT-produced documentary called the "greatest documentary of all time." Executive Producer Catherine Allan attended a special screening at #Sundance this week, and had the following to say: "Gerry and I and all the filmmakers were there to witness the occasion. Great moment when "a production of Kartemquin and KTCA (TPT's old name)" flashed across the screen. The film had been shot in beta SP and blown up to 35 mm for its theatrical release back in the 90s, but thanks to the Motion Picture Academy, UCLA and Sundance it has been remastered in HD. It looked beautiful and both the production values and the story itself felt more powerful than ever." Pictured below is one of the central figures from the film, Arthur Agee, his mother, and two very happy TPT staff members. Congratulations to all those involved over the years!
