This used to be a cavernous void of nothingness. Our fixer-upper came with no linen closet, so for over a year now, our towels and sheets have spilled over in piles on top of the washer and dryer. No longer, thanks to @kyleoxen's mad skills and genius. (Doors coming soon, and obviously we need to paint. And I want to paint the back of the shelves a fun color and keep the frame and shelves white - tangerine? Granny Smith green? Aqua? Not sure yet.)

  • jessicagfisherPolka dots!
  • northwest_native_jessicaSo awesome!
  • momadviceSo smart!
  • mmlorettaOur house has no linen closet either! (Errrr... I believe it was converted into an AC closet in the 60s.) now if I could only find a corner of wasted space like this. Brilliant!
  • jlallen4LOVE the idea of painting the inside of the closet. we have a small pantry in our kitchen and the first thing we did before we moved in was paint the inside and i put {home sweet home} wallpaper border on the wall space between each shelf. a sweet reminder of our first home together.
  • solacegirlTangerine.
  • laurajolizaAqua ombré :)
  • crystalellefsenOmbré!
  • rachaelstottPolka dots!!!
  • tshoxenreider@laurajoliza @crystaldrh @rachaelstott @jessicagfisher I love your creativity, but you overestimate my available time here. 😉 Ombré, I could probably do...
  • jessicagfisherOmbré sound very nice.
  • rachaelstottWall paper?
  • archerfriendlyI am so curious... Is this a built-in, inside of a wall, or is it built as a separate unit in dead space?
  • tshoxenreider@archerfriendly the wall on the right sticks out about 12 inches, so it leaves this cavernous space. Kyle built this has a built-in, inside to fill the wall. The shelves are now flush with the wall on the right side.
  • archerfriendlyThanks for fulfilling my curiosity buckets. Looks so good, and it must look snazzy being flush with the wall. Would love to see the doors you choose when you do!
  • hannahdillerPainting my laundry room (in Austin) coral made a big difference in how I felt while processing laundry. Rock on with the color!
