Rest Easy Annie💕🙏🏻 We don’t want this to be a sad post. In fact we want you to comment below with your favorite Annie memory. Or how she impacted your life. When we first took Annie in we were told at best she had a couple months left…. Yesterday Annie celebrated her one year rescue anniversary! This past year Annie found two extraordinary wonderful women who took her in as her hospice fosters. She experienced not one but two Christmases and birthday parties. She walked out onto the TX rangers baseball field. Made the news, headlined events and literally inspired millions! Annie had the life we pray every senior dog we rescue gets to experience. Annie didn’t just live out this past year… she THRIVED! The mark she has left won’t soon be forgotten. You guys know we recently announced a Patron account and clothing that will go towards funding the sanctuary. What you don’t know is that the first shirt is an Annie shirt that arrives the second week of July and will go towards our first tiny home for senior dogs. “Annie’s Cabin” that home will serve as a safe haven for dogs like Annie for years to come. ❤️ To Annies former foster moms who officially signed adoption paperwork last night becoming her forever family. We love you endlessly! Because of you Annie truly had the time of her life this past year. Also a Thank you to @massandgravitymedia for capturing so many moments of Annie’s journey this past year. Finally to this community… none of this is possible without all of you. Senior dogs aren’t flashy and they don’t inspire crazy donations but they are the dogs that call to us. Without you sharing that passion with us we couldn’t do this work. For those interested in medical we will list below After dinner her foster mommies noticed she was pacing more than usual and her abdomen looks enlarged. They immediately called us and rushed her to the ER. Annie had bloat and her stomach had done a complete 360 flip. Surgical intervention was her only option and that was never something we would put Annie through. collectively we made the hardest decision for us but kindest for Annie.
