Ok, this week, two things happened. OpenAI released their new GPT-4, and MidJourney released their Version 5. What do we do with this?
Well, we COULD ask Chat-GPT for something like "create a summary of all press releases that were made public right before a publicly traded company significantly lost shareholder value. Collect the most common words, rank them, and thus extract the most likely signifiers for a soon-to-fail stock price" and try to build some kind of startup around that. 🤔
OR…
We could ask Chat-GPT this:
Write a short story about Barack Obama and Angela Merkel enjoying their best day at the beach together, because they are retired now, and don’t have to deal with politics anymore, building sandcastles, flying kites, running barefoot through the water, and eating ice cream together as besty best friends. Make it no longer than 1300 characters. Write it in the style of a poetry slam text.
The result:
Listen up, gather 'round, I got a tale to spin,
'Bout two retired leaders, best friends with a grin,
Barack and Angie, they're free from the fray,
Escaping politics, they found a new way.
A beach day, the sun ablaze, hearts entwined,
Sandcastles and kites, their friendship redefined,
Barefoot, they raced through the water, embraced,
No more world to save, no more battles to face.
They built kingdoms in sand, a utopia of dreams,
A world far from the chaos, far from the schemes,
The kites soared high, like their spirits that day,
Lifting burdens, leaving worries to float away.

Ice cream in hand, they sat and they pondered,

This story, my friends, is a testament, a token,
Of two hearts, two leaders, once weary and broken,
Now united on a beach, no more shackles they bear,
Barack and Angie, an unlikely pair.
Combine that with the new photorealism of MJ5, and, well, you get this. Do we have to start labeling images as „AI photos“ now? 🧐

Too funny! 😂 But also too good, I actually do think it would be good to put a little watermark that indicates it's a generated image mostly because people take photos from others all the time and re-post them without the original descriptions or context. Of course people can also remove watermarks but the majority of folks won't go through that effort and just want to have something to show on their social media
