In October, we celebrated Disability History and Awareness Month — a time to honor the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities and reaffirm our commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and understanding.

With this video, our goal is to highlight our students as kids and learners first, and to celebrate their unique strengths and stories.

Thank you to our students and families for sharing your voices and reminding us that inclusion means celebrating everyone for who they are!

The Sorenson Early Childhood Center community recently came together to celebrate the ribbon cutting for its new learning spaces — made possible by the voter-approved 2022 Capital Bond and the ongoing support of our community.

The project at Sorenson:

Added five new permanent classrooms

Removed two portable classrooms
Added dedicated spaces for speech, occupational, and physical therapy services

Built a new activity room

Installed fully accessible and inclusive playgrounds at Sorenson and nearby Westhill Elementary

Improved traffic flow and site circulation

Thank you to our voters for investing in our schools and helping create safe, inclusive, and inspiring spaces for our youngest learners.
