This month, Tatler celebrates its 20th anniversary with an issue that overflows with stories that have shaped the magazine. To commemorate this milestone, lifestyle journalist Marge Enriquez’s brief history of the magazine titled, “In the Beginning” headlines our 200-page special issue, followed by 20 arresting visuals of our favourite past cover subjects in the feature titled, “20”. We also had a quick catch-up with five former cover ladies to know what they’ve been doing now. Highlighted in “Defining Moments” are the major moves that strengthened the brand over two decades. Lastly, we asked our friends to recount their most memorable experiences with Tatler, which they share in “Memories are Made of These”.
On the cover is a woman who brought home the gold, @generationt_asia honouree, @hidilyndiaz. As the Philippines’ first-ever Olympic gold medalist since it joined the Olympics 97 years ago, the Zamboanga-born weightlifting champion embodies the same excellence and influence that define this premier luxury magazine in the Philippines today. She narrates her losses and wins in life, and how her passion and perseverance kept her eyes on the prize.
