When the production team told us during our first script reading that we will be delivering a message of hope at the tail-end of the program, @catriona_gray immediately *raised her hand* and asked if we can write it ourselves.
We wrote this message together in the hopes that we get to tell the story of every Filipino in this pandemic—a story of heartbreak and newfound hope.
And since we were already hosting the show, we decided the tone needs to be distinctly different. So we asked our Kuya Caloy to help us make it sound like spoken word poetry—stemming from his deep love for our country, he added the fire and heart the message needed as well.
Sa panahon ng matinding pagsubok, ang “Lupang Hinirang” ang nagpapaalala sa atin ng taglay na tapang ng mga Pilipino. Ito ang ating panata sa isa’t-isa.
