Don't comment on other people's bodies! This is important year-round, but especially as the weather gets warmer and summer rolls in. People have a right to feel comfortable existing in their bodies however they like, and should not be judged for it! I made this little reminder for us on a few things we shouldn't comment on this summer, so please share and spread it so we can all be comfy in our skin! Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance 🏳️‍⚧️

Today, we honor the lives of transgender and gender non-conforming people lost to violence and discrimination. Transgender Day of Remembrance is a time to reflect on the ongoing struggles faced by the trans community, to grieve the lives taken too soon, and to recommit to fighting for trans rights and equality.

Remembering is not enough. Here’s how you can take action:

- Support trans-led organizations and mutual aid funds.
- Advocate for policies that protect trans people.
- Stand against anti-trans rhetoric in your communities.

Trans rights are human rights. We are in a moment in history where trans people face challenges to their livelihood every day. Every trans person deserves safety, love, and the freedom to live authentically. 🏳️‍⚧️

It is so important to be inclusive with our language so that we can be accepting of everyone in our conversations, and make everyone feel welcome and comfortable! Try to avoid using gendered words like ladies and gentlemen, etc, and ALWAYS ask for someone’s pronouns before referring to them as a certain gender! If you aren’t sure, I would just use they/them until you know their pronouns!

Let’s break down societal norms and do our best to include everyone in our conversations!💖🌈
