I needed a few days to let my brain understand what has been happening this past week. 3 out of 4 family members tested POSITIVE for COVID-19 in my home, Jesse, Rubi and myself. (Mia may have the antibodies, she has not had any symptoms and she tested NEGATIVE) At first I was in shock because you’re telling me I’ve quarantined for 11 months! 11 months my children have been home with me away from the world to then get COVID. Was I angry? Heck yea, infuriated to say the least. Scared? Absolutely. Hopeful? 100% God has held our hands through this experience that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone! We can’t let our guard down, stay home if possible, stay home because what we have lived since we tested POSITIVE hasn’t been easy.

Anyways I really wanted to share this photo of my breastmilk! It actually let me know something was going on in my body and my babies. How amazing is breastmilk, it’s magical and I’m so thankful to be able to produce it especially now! The color change indicates that my body is making exactly what Rubi needs! Antibodies, extra fatty and just pure goodness 🥲🥺🙌🏻

I want to also share this, what we have lived these past few days have been hard! Seeing my baby, my youngest one shiver with high fevers, sweat, cry with no energy during the first 2 nights all while having my very own symptoms was a lot for me. I felt guilty, I felt I could’ve prevented this. My babies first time getting sick and it happened to be with COVID is still hard to wrap that around my brain because I was being as safe as we could be for almost an entire year. I want you to know this is real, this is not just a small virus this is more than that. This makes you feel like you will not make it, this makes you see what really matters. How we’re fighting this another person may not be able to get through it. Stay safe ❤️
