RIP Little Joe. We lost Hall of Famer and Bay Area resident Joe Morgan today at age 77. 2020 has been such a disaster, and on top of everything else we have seen way too many Hall of Famers leave us. Too many to mention but this one really gets me as Morgan was truly one of the signature players of my childhood in the 70’s winning two MVP’s and leading the Big Red Machine to back-to-back World Series titles. I shot this picture of Morgan from the stands at Candlestick Park when I was in high school in 1982. This was the one year he played for the Giants and later knocked the Dodgers out of the post season with a dramatic homer on the final day of the campaign. #ripjoe #joemorgan #halloffamer #sfgiants #reds
