First reel! 🥳🎞 And proper update on the baked jollof rice: 🌶 richer and more intense flavour. Reminiscent of party jollof. 🌶 the red onions were melt-in-the-mouth and perfectly caramelised. 🌶 sesame oil gave a slightly nutty, toasty taste and aroma. Worked well. 🌶 expect some of the rice (particularly at the top) to have a bit of a bite to it. This doesn’t diminish the taste experience imo. 🌶 this batch took nearly two hours to cook 😱, but it was a HUGE batch (about 5 cups of rice). 🌶 tastes even better on the second day. .
