A dentist told me when I was 7 I had an ugly smile and brought the nurse in to look at it, too. I remembered him giggling. He used descriptive terms I won’t repeat. I used to hate my big teeth til I saw that half my entire family had these big teeth smiles! We are the big teeth smile club! Due to poor dental care as a child, I had 3 baby teeth in my top teeth up til age 23. Then came the reconstructive surgeries .... I still rarely smile in photos because of what that dentist said. I can logically put it in its place, but it’s still there. Be careful what you say to children. 📍Their receptive brains don’t know how to categorize assholes. 📍 I would love to see that dentist today and put a cream pie in his face, but he’s probably dead by now. I do want to thank @drlaurencerifkindds for being so positive, kind, nurturing to me through the years it means so much to me! A smile is the best fashion accessory!!!
