I am so happy to see the Chinese people treat the ignorant & dismissive behavior of D&G with the response it deserves!!! It would serve them right if their products were not allowed to be sold in China for a very long time or possibly banning them forever!!!!

@chen_estelle quite honestly i dont think the ads were racist. They were just ridiculous stereotypes; i'm italian, 99% of the ads about italians are ridiculous sterotypes but not racist imho. The statements were, on the other hand, racist disrespectful and totally unacceptable for decent human beings.

@jenshultz the companies wouldn't and couldn't exploit them if the government did it's job and put it's people before its elite class. At the end of the day it's a communists country and nothing will improve until it becomes a democratic country. Plus companies are already going to other countries already because they don't want to be involved with sweatshops. And plus duck that, used clothes!! No no no. New for me, I work hard for mi money and I'm going to use it right. But it is wrong to destroy and burn clothes that don't sell. They should be given to the needee. Starting with the homeless.

@requena9861 The fashion industry is the 2nd cause of pollution in the world behind big oil. Brands like D&G exploit Chinese and other workers rights and livelihoods and make huge profits. It's interesting and infuriating to know how much could change if the fashion industry did. How luxury brands burn and destroy the clothes that don't sell because it will tarnish their image. All for profits. Yet you blame the Chinese. Oh and if you think for a minute said luxury brands don't want their items counterfeited you're misinformed. They looove it as it helps their own businesses. Ethical brands paying fair wages are increasing, and eventually the new wave of people buying reused clothing will force big brands to slow down, treat workers better, and the environment. This problem belongs to us all, it is not China's burden to bear alone.
