Optics. If any of you are going to be head down in puppy/kitten/bunny GIFS for the next 24-48 hours, maybe add this little moment into your lineup. I didn’t get a video of what just happened because Leta was attempting to put contact lenses into her eyes and I didn’t want to startle her. And I was about to high five her when she got the second one in (less than five minutes!) but she got this look on her face that you see on faces of people in videos who hear sound for the first time. She was in shock. She *literally* could not believe what she was seeing and she teared up and almost began shrieking. It was A MOMENT, seeing without glasses on her face for the first time. And then on the drive home she started talking about leaves and how she had no idea they were *that* distinct from each other and I am just so grateful for DOCTORS and HEALTHCARE and I WANT HER TO GROW UP IN A WORLD THAT WILL DAZZLE HER EYES.
