Parisa Pourtaherian, a 26-year-old photographer from Iran, was unable to enter a football Stadium last month to cover a match, so she covered it from a rooftop nearby with a long camera lens. Women in Iran rarely attend sporting events because they are often refused entry, even though there is no official ban. The photographer who captured the photos of Pourtaherian, Abalfazl Amanollah, told BuzzFeed News that he knew that she had been looking for a way to shoot Iran's Premier League for a long time, and that her presence on top of that building caught everyone’s eye. "We were all very happy and deeply excited to see such thing happen," he said. "I do really hope that, one day, Parisa, as a great talent, gets to be present at stadiums at each and every game like other male photographers and capture frames the way she wants." 👩📸👏 (📸: @abolfazlamanollah) - #parisapourtaherian #iran #iranian #photographer #photography #sportsphotographer #sportsphotography #camera #cameralens #women #woman #girl #girls #feminism #equality #equalrights #womensrights #soccer #football #futbol #soccergame #instasoccer #soccerlife #sport #sports #⚽️
