A child recently reunified with his mom drew this for me. Today I broke a lot, in front of everyone, including kids the same age as mine that couldn’t stop staring at me. I wanted so badly to comfort through touch, but you can’t hug or tap or hold or do anything besides shake hands. All of it was too much for my heart. I couldn’t continue holding it all in. We have so much work that there’s little time to address our emotions and allow for digestion of all of this.
