Two years today since the biggest life experience ... the hysterectomy. There were surgeries before, and have been surgeries since. But nothing like the dreaded H.
I never expected it to be so hard. I look back now and think I was a little naive going into it. But then again how could you ever truly prepare for the unknown. Absolute pain. Absolute loss.
I'm still here, and despite the downs, there are have been some damn big ups, and lots of lessons learned. I can also honestly say I 'do' life with more respect than I used to and take nothing for granted.
