Beyond just taking photos of the beautiful Z shaped river bends from the air, my job was to spot the kayaker & make sure they made it safely to the eddy under the foliage. Past the second bend the river quickly turned into a heinous series of tight slot canyons & waterfalls. Virtually impassable without going for an unwelcome swim.
