In the criminal justice system, lockdown defying offences are considered especially heinous. In every city, the dedicated detectives who investigate these mindless felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Social Distancing Unit. These are their stories. *DUN DUN* It’s no exaggeration to say Law & Order: #SVU has single handedly kept me sane at times during this lockdown. It’s one of those rare shows that makes you forget you’re watching actors, rather than real people. It makes you forget those people are speaking words that somebody else has written for them. It makes you forget the time before you knew who Dick Wolf was, the time before you'd heard your first #DUNDUN. It helps *me* forget real-life human connection has been banned for a month, because I connect so much with the people on screen. People I’ve grown up watching and rooting for. People trying to do the right thing, just like the rest of us. People who (almost) always get the bad guy. Social distancing is here for the long haul, I’m glad we have an elite squad of dedicated detectives watching our back.
