- conservativesA new report ranks our NHS as the number one health system out of 11 countries. This is a testament to our nurses and doctors, who give unparalleled care every day. But there’s more to do, which is why we’re investing an extra £8 billion in our health system. We’ll continue to do what it takes to support our NHS.

- mrholland_2@uk_conservative_2002 there is no way wages would increase. If a business is privatising the NHS then then they would want to get their money back, they wouldn't 'waste' their money paying more wages. Also you mentioned people would be paying for their treatment. Don't you think that with something like healthcare, anybody, no matter how wealthy they are has the right to care (as long as they are paying taxes)? Or do you think that there should be some in our society that don't deserve treatment because everyone their profession doesn't pay better than others. Ironically if you had to start paying for treatment then given their current wages, nurses and doctors wouldn't even be able to afford it probably if they're going to food banks.
- uk_conservative_9082@mrholland_2 no healthcare isn't a right it's a service and the government shouldn't pay for it
- mrholland_2@uk_conservative_2002 well I guess that's where we disagree. I think the government should be there for its citizens. If your house is burning then don't worry the government give you the fire service. If you're disabled then don't worry because the government will give you benefits. If you're ill or sick then don't worry because the government will give you care. You believe that a country should be run like a business and profit being the country's priority. People may be on the street and people may be going to food banks but as long as its making money. There's no right answer, it's just a matter of opinion and we both can't believe the other person thinks this way.
- lady_elizabeth_buttonPlease note: when I say "Tories" in an 'attack' kind of fashion (😬🤐) I'm usually referring to the rotten eggs only (we all know who they are). We all know I champion The Davidson. Still dunno why you haven't made her the boss yet, UK govt, come onnn! Get. On. It. The Davidson aka Saint of a Strong Reserve (I hope she likes that title) 😇. I even think I like The Hammond! And The Rudd too! I think common sense is making a breakthrough at Tory HQ 🤞🤞🤞 AT LASTTT! Hoorayyy! Hidden treasures everywhere - told ya ☺️✨
- uk_conservative_9082@lady_elizabeth_button no David Davies or even better Jacob Rees mogg
- uk_conservative_9082@mrholland_2 I never said I wanted to privatise all current public services did I, I said that I wanted the NHS to be fully privatised
- mrholland_2@uk_conservative_2002 you think we should balance the debt by taking money from the 'little guy' instead of the multimillionaire. You justify this by saying the multimillionaire works harder but I refuse to believe that people like Mike Ashley work harder than nurses on a day to day basis. If you tax the millionaire more the person will still be a millionaire but it means the nurse doesn't have to go to a food bank. The fact there are some people misusing the welfare system is certainly wrong, not sure why you'd think I think otherwise.
- lady_elizabeth_buttonOMG The Mogg!! I love him!!!! 😍😍😍 Apologies from me - I struggle to keep up sometimes!! And I'm working on my relationship with the Davies.. we're getting there.. I need moooorrrreee!!!! Feed me fabulous politico food, @uk_conservative_2002 squadlings!!!!
- bwelfare@mrholland_2 If a nurse has to go to a food bank they are seriously miss spending their reasonable salary.
- mrholland_2@bwelfare oh yes, it's their fault isn't it. It's not the government's fault for not scrapping the public sector pay cap which purposely keeps nurses' pay low. And anyway what are they misspending it on then? Can you imagine the embarrassment of going to a food bank because you can't afford the most basic of needs?
- iamtheonewhofucksREESMOGGFORPRIMEMINISTER
- bwelfare@mrholland_2 They chose to be a nurse knowing the salary. You seem to think every nurse goes to one. Next to none go to one in reality. Nurses start on a salary of £22,182 at the NHS so they certainly can "afford the most basic of needs".
- mrholland_2@bwelfare £22,128 is not enough when you consider they save lives and are over-worked but have their wages caped. You can't justify that. Especially when you've a 96% drop in EU nursing applicants.
- bwelfareI can justify the wage cap. We have to live within our means. It would be devastating to our economy. Remember, they chose to be a nurse. They chose that salary so they shouldn't complain. If they have a problem then they should have gone for a higher paid job.
- bwelfare@mrholland_2
- mrholland_2@bwelfare they are! That is why there is a 96% drop in EU nurses coming to the UK.
