- unmigrationSince 2002, IOM, through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, has helped resettle more than 103,000 Somali refugees. This weekend, writer and photographer @mesopotami traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, to interview the Somali Stars, a soccer team made up of young refugees and migrants. The team is an initiative of @bridges2america , a nonprofit focused on empowering youth through soccer. Ahmed has also taken over the IOM Instagram story, and is conducting interviews for the TOGETHER podcast, which is focused on the stories of young migrants and refugees across the world.
