- internationsorg"Usually they warn you everywhere in Yosemite that bears can steal your food if you don't hide it well, but of course we couldn't even expect that we would actually encounter a bear cub during our hike to the Nevada Falls! Was I scared? A little bit (especially of the possibility to meet his mom) ;) American black bears are said to be less dangerous and not as aggressive as grizzly bears. I also heard that they are not supposed to attack humans, if they feel safe themselves.
