Back in June, @lucasdrummond & I made a pilgrimage to one of San Francisco's cinematic landmarks: the church from the original SISTER ACT (fictionally "St. Katherine's; IRL St. Paul's). It was surprisingly easy for two Las Vegas showgirls like us to blend right in 🙏⛪️🙏

I also wanted to congratulate Lucas, who just won the Best Actor prize at @festivalforrainbow for ONLY GOOD THINGS (Apenas Coisas Boas) by @dan_nolasco1 this week. 🌸🏆🌸 The film was one of the seven works this year that received finishing fund grants through the @framelinefest Completion Fund... applications for next year's grants are now open. I never want to take for granted what an incredible experience it is to be a part of putting on this big, crazy, queer film festival every year. I work alongside some of the smartest, coolest queers I've ever met, and I get to meet my childhood idols, artists I greatly admire, and some of the most talented folks in the business. The support and enthusiasm of the @framelinefest audience is truly unmatched, so I sincerely thank everyone who came out this year.

The physical and emotional recovery persists, but I wouldn't have it any other way! ✌️

And to quote my girl @hereisbosco : "I hate sincerity. It fucking sucks." But I do love you all. 🥹

For the first time this year, @framelinefest partnered with @thesuperfair to put together a fee rolling shorts programs to screen on a loop during the four days of the fair this weekend (March 6-9). (Additionally we're screening Wakefield Poole's 1972 masterpiece BIJOU (thanks @schlockvalue ). Less than 10 tickets left for that (🔗 in my story).)

Curated by yours truly, the ADVENTURES IN QUEERNESS program will screen on the on the second half of the day Thursday through Sunday. Inspired by the monstrous camp and delirious hallucinations of Tom Rubnitz, these six films (made by some of my favorite queer artists) will take you through a borderless global labyrinth of music, mystery, and mayhem... featuring cameos along the way by such beauties as @mr.davidglamamore , Juanita Moore, @stanleyfranksensation , @ajainicole @djsindri , @hiltyhilthilt @imdrewanderson , @cricketcricketcricket @hideousbastard @katemoranofficial @biminibabes @_ceesarfloyd_ @jimmysomervilleofficial , @jamie___xx , and of course Cathy @portillomail
