Not relating to this case, just wanna share my thoughts on why you need a realtor.
Sellers are trying to sell off their properties for various reasons. They are leaving behind their properties with plenty of stories linked to those pieces of real estate. History.
Buyers are trying to buy their new properties to start a new chapter of their lives. They are beginning to create their home stories or investment opportunities in the new houses and possibly to leave behind a legacy for their loved ones. Future.
A house that will become a home. Plenty of emotional bondage that may cloud both sellers and buyers usual logical minds, making them unaware of the present state. Both are either in the past or the future. As a middle man, my role as the realtor is to make the best property sense to both parties and to turn the situation into a win-win-win happy ending or beginning for all parties. Present.
So this is the way I see my value added role as a realtor:
Seller (past) + Realtor (present) + Buyer (future)
The present is key to connect the past and future. Very important state!
Some may disagree and skip the middle man altogether, thinking this may save some money. However, how many successful cases are there? How many properties have you transacted as compared to a realtor who does it on a daily basis? Ask around and you will have your answers.
