foamstlIt's gonna be a dope night!
A message from Yowie:
This is finally it. After 5 years of frantic work, 'Synchromysticism' will be available (on LP & CD!). This is the album we have been working toward being able to write and execute for 17 years. To celebrate, we are stoked to be playing a thank you show with friends old and new. Yowie's going to play 2 sets. We very likely will never do this again, but it's a special occasion.
First up is Staghorn, playing 'Parousia I / Kismet II.' 30 minutes of euphonic introspection where global ethic and activism transcend the traditional parameters of music. https://www.facebook.com/wearestaghorn/
Next up will be The Conformists. I have never heard of these guys. I think they are new and from their name I assume they play some kind of like 90s skate punk or something like that. This will be your last chance to see them before they go off to tour France and a few other countries, but mostly France. https://www.facebook.com/theconformists/
Then we will have a set by Yowie, playing selections from 'Cryptooology' and 'Damning With Faint Praise'. Many of you have never even heard some of these played live before. Here's your chance. Yes, we are going to play two sets. Yes, we are not sure if this is even realistically feasible. Have a crash cart ready.
Then an intermission by Complainer
"Complainer’s quick, kinetic tunes – only one lasts longer than three minutes – pack tons of sounds and ideas into combustible nuggets of blare. Hess’s beats are complex yet primal, while Suen’s vocal barks are urgent and authoritative, delivered like a frantic call to arms. On tunes such as the rolling “Shoplifters” and the metal-riffing “Guts”, Complainer hit a sweet spot between chaos and control, generating maximum heat without collapsing under their own frantic momentum." -Marc Masters for Bandcamp.com

And finally, we will have another set by Yowie, this time playing 'Synchromysticism' in its entirety, so that by the time you are good and drunk you will be ready for the dance portion of the night.
This show is gonna be off the chain. $8. Bring friends.
