❤️Grandma❤️ One of a kind. Today we're celebrating her life. She was fun, feisty, fearless and incredibly loving. She had an adventurous spirit and was bold & independent in a time it was not as easy to be so, as a woman. By example she taught us all so much about gratitude- for having loving family, appreciating the life you have and making good of any situation. One thing I will always remember about her is that she always enjoyed life and placed huge value in this, without the need of material things (except perhaps her 'choccies'!). From an outside perspective she had a fair share of difficulties, tragedies & heartbreaks but she focused what was good and wonderful and sincerely felt 'lucky' and this endured through her disease- Even with Althziemer's she often hold my hand and say "ah sweetie, I've had a good life". She would regularly tell us as kids that she was "crazy about us" and would always encourage us in our endeavours, success in them was not so important as enjoyment. We loved that she would say things that other grandma's would never say, always wicked & witty. Laughter was something that she spread; to friends, family & even strangers on the street. She was one of the only people who used to regularly make me cry with laughter. One of her enduring mottos was 'as long as you keep your sense of humour' and I'm so grateful that right to the end she kept hers. 🌟🌟🌟Love you Grams and thank you for being such a wonderful, big part of our lives xxxx
