britstuevenReady for perspective? THIS was Marie Forleo's website in 2001. // I'm putting finishing touches on my prezzy for Threads Connect tonight (see previous post!), and I couldn't help but share this slide.
Now, of course, the web was different back then, and it's been 16 years of tweaking, growing, experimenting and building a business for Marie, but that's exactly why I'm sharing this. I repeat:
It's been 16 YEARS of tweaking, growing, experimenting and building a business for Marie. 🤔
When we go to marieforleo.com toDAY, we think, "Wow -- she's accomplished. She's got it goin' ON. I've got SQUAT goin' on compared to THIS." Whether it's building a biz, losing weight, decluttering our lives or ANYTHING that takes struggle, stumbling, learning, tweaking and growing...we always look at the gorgeous, perfect, lively, luscious rose and NOT the seed...NOT the thorns.
We forget that there was a beginning.
We forget that successful people are human.
We forget that it's TOTALLY and CERTIFIABLY perfect to start from wherever we are, and most importantly, to start small.
Get that dream to a boil and let it simmer for a while.
Don't microwave it.
Don't rush it.
We all know slow-cooked tastes WAY better and keeps us fuller longer. ;)
I hope this inspires you!!!! Go get 'em...slowly but surely!!
