Perfume review - Eisenberg, So French! A strong #perfume which smells, well… French. It sounds almost too simple and yet it’s one of the most #sophisticated #fragrances I’ve ever felt. Because it summarizes and contains the essence, the magic which can transform the appearance just by wearing a particular #scent. So French! smells like spring time, in Paris. That Paris who needs to be felt before being seen, that Paris which is eternal, #chic, playful and just seemingly unapproachable. Once you’ve applied it and let it sink into your skin, you feel an irresistible urge to inhale it as deep as you can. Although strong, as I said before, you smell it around you but can’t get enough, it makes you want more. This perfume carries everything: the silk scarf, the tailor-made suit, the high heels echoing on the pavement, the always mysterious smile of the woman who feels good in her own skin. If, ordinarily, the above mentioned #feminine elements agree with the scent, completing it, So French! contains them within itself. Meaning, it doesn’t matter what you wear, you’ll feel like walking in heels, dressed in a well-cut tailored suit. In the spring time, in #Paris. I’m really not exaggerating, this is the exact picture Eisenberg’s liquor induces me. I cannot sense the notes distinctly, just the mix between the violet flowers, the sandalwood and the leather, which is somewhat strange for a composition that listed rose, jasmine or musk. Perhaps this was the intended effect when creating the essence, after all: to capture the #elegant touch from different perfumed worlds (floral, fruity, woody, vanilla) and to encapsulate it in a bottle. An artistic act, I should say.

  • uneautremelanieJosé Eisenberg, the founder of the brand, says that the perfumes “stem from a fleeting emotion, a feeling… When the flowery, woody, and musk notes intertwine in total intimacy, it is this emotion I am looking for. Our perfumes are part of me… To me they are memories of precious moments.”
The wonderful graphic images of the “L’Art du Parfum” collection reflects the same idea. They are the work of the Brazilian artist Juarez Machado who translated into paintings the emotions revealed in the creative phase of the perfumes. In Eisenberg’s view, “L’Art du Parfum” is a unique concept in which art and perfume merge to express the essence of life, luxury and beauty.
