caitrodgersSnapped Saturday in between yesterday between games and an egg hunt. We don't talk - historically speaking - a lot about the Saturday before Easter because it's full of quiet waiting, pressing forward with questions and tender hearts and waiting, so much waiting. But that's life, isn't it? We're living as best and as brave we can, with as much love and joy and grace as we can while waiting for the capital R resurrection day. Through Rhett God has dug a thousand times deeper into my heart, leaving both a permanent ache for things to be set right and joy like I've never known before - not because the waiting is easy but because Easter is real and Jesus is alive. He will make things right, and in the meantime, He promises to be with us in the waiting. I don't know what your Easter looks like today, but if it's less family dinners and smiley photos, more quiet on the couch all alone - that's okay. He's with you in the waiting.
