Every one in Christ is walking in victory, no matter whether they are a recent convert or a seasoned preacher. At the beginning and at the end of our walk of faith, we know Christ and we never stop trying to know Him better.

We start out with a knowledge of God that's small and incomplete - but enough to be sure of victory and have confidence in the one Who saves us.

From that point we press on, our faith in Him growing stronger. Trials and temptations face us but we draw upon our knowledge of Him and His Word, knowing that with Him we can overcome. We learn that these struggles are in fact necessary to our growth - they are part of the journey to knowing Christ more completely. With every struggle, we are able to look back and say, "I can overcome this next struggle, because I know the Father and he has already overcome." The end of faith is not having arrived - but the joy of having more knowledge of Christ. A deeper faith. More awareness of our victory. And from this point we throw ourselves into pursuit of knowing Christ even more intimately.

No matter our faith stage, we cannot remain static. We can never, ever stop growing. We never reach perfection but we pursue it - living a life of victory in the Light of Christ: He Who has already overcome the world and allows us to overcome.

We pursue the light, we walk in the light, we learn more about Source of Light, and we grow to become stronger and brighter reflections of that light every passing day until He comes again and takes us home - where we will always, always live in His light. // 1 John 2:12-14 \\ #1John #womenoftheword #boldconfidentvictorious
