Four thousand years ago, the forbearers of our faith were enslaved and oppressed. God heard their cry and came to them through Moses and Aaron. God still saves! This story defined the Jewish people. As a Jew, Jesus not only identified with the story, but he celebrated the Passover from the time of his childhood to the week of his death. It was during his last Passover meal that he asked his disciples to take the bread that he broke and to drink the wine - His body and His blood, for you. ⠀
