We spent yesterday anchored just off a little place called Cabbage Key. It was getting late and that was the easiest and best place for us to tuck into for the night. The only fresh vegetable we had left in the fridge was a head of cabbage, so I roasted it with shoyu and rice wine and a little bit of siracha along with a couple of chicken legs marinated in the same. It wasn’t until I looked at my @instagram feed, though, that I realized yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day -- holiday of all things green and also all things cabbage-y. Cabbage Key, cabbage dinner, all unintentionally, all on St. Patty’s. Don’t you just love when the universe intersects like that? Almost as if it has a sense of humor, all its own. ☺️
