After understanding addiction more and realizing my husband began using pornography at 11 or 12, I am concerned for my own son. I wonder what I can do to protect his mind against the evils of pornography. I want to shelter him from the constant exposure of the world. But I know I cannot protect him forever. I have learned that I need to be healthy before I can help my son be healthy. I am thankful for the tools I have gained from recovery and hope to teach my son as he continues to grow. I love that recovery isn't just about addiction, it's about becoming the best me I can become.
