An Ode to Pollinators:

Consider the coming of pollinators
As the season begins to turn vernal
The ones who sing
The ones who sting
And others who are nocturnal.

Their labor of love is invaluable
The pollen they carry and spread
From garden to row
They fruitfully go
And give us our daily bread.

Oh, pity the beleaguered pollinator
Whom climate change threatens to raze
And if you should spot her
Don't run for the swatter
Say "thank you" and hope that she stays.
