Deity of the day: Yakshini
Yakshini's are the female counterparts of Yakshas known throughout Buddhist, Jain and Hindu mythology. They embody the benevolent and malevolent of the divine female form. They bestow occult knowledge of the hidden self and rule over hidden treasures. Their broad hips, voluptuous breasts and their exaggerated thighs have been sculpted and uncovered throughout many temples throughout Asia. Yakshinis are highly erotic and are typically depicted straddling fruitful trees or sitting under trees portraying their duality.
