Can you guess what this little gadget is? Hint: VR… It’s a Samsung Gear 360. This little ball of technological joy is possibly the future of the communications industry. Both @newhousesu and @ischoolsu encourage students to dive into new immersive technology and learn how to integrate it into their respective fields. Digital is the new ‘it’ and that’s probably not going to change anytime soon. Think about it: we consume news, entertainment, games, and even buy stuff via smartphones. So it only makes sense for industries to adapt to what their target audiences are doing. SU does a magnificent job of integrating up-and-coming tech devices into curriculum and just getting students interested in what’s new. I’ve had the opportunity create 360 videos at the local zoo and at community centers to give people a virtual experience of a place they’ve probably never been to. It’s immersive! Shout out to SU for nurturing innovation. –FAB #SyracuseU
