Sooooo... of all the things people ask me via social media, my hair and makeup seem to be right up there as the most inquired about piece of my life. It definitely makes me laugh because I've never considered myself any sort of authority on the topics and mostly I just throw shit at the wall and see what sticks but truly, how I curl my hair, what products I use, what color is my eye shadow {it's always out of those Naked palate ditties}, and what I do to my skin. "And the most recent question: what face wash/lotion do you use?" Well, first of all, I rarely wash my face, as I share often here. I used to wash it every night and then I got cancer and figured that it hadn't done me any good to have fresh, young looking skin because, heck, I still got cancer! Ha! Too soon?! Anyway, if I do wash my face, I use a clarisonic with whatever samples of face wash I have. But I honestly only take the time about one night a week. Purely due to laziness. But for moisturizer, most recently, I've just been using good ol' coconut oil. I just slather a big shmear {I know. That word has ickies attached to it😬} or dollop of oil from forehead to the bottom of my neck and call it a day. Or a night, as it were. It's great for me because it's natural, it restores my moisture as I am usually pretty dry, and it is good in a pinch if I wake up hungry in the middle of the night 😋😂. But really, I've been using it for a couple months and it just works for me. I even rub it on my hands and elbows, too. And because it smells like I just spent the day on the beach, it gives me alllll the feels. So there you have it. Another little bittle bite about yours truly. So tell me, what's your little nugget people ask you about?

  • fattofreedomCoconut oil literally is the answer to all life's problems.
  • kellymaeserwriterYes to coconut oil!! I use it in my hair too. I sometimes put it all over my hair and wrap it up in a bun (so I don't get the oils on my pillow case) and wash it out in the morning. It is an amazing pre-wash conditioner and makes me natural wave happy. I have to wash off my make up or my skin breaks out and I recently discover the Yes products. They are amazing. My skin has been so happy using that and when really dry coconut oil. I also love them because their face wash cloths are compostable which make the environment happy.
  • pamandie45@fattofreedom @babyonthebrehm question...how does it not clog every pore on your face? I have such sensitive skin I am terrified to try it and end up a zit farm.😬
  • kellymaeserwriter@pamandie45 I also have very sensitive skin and if I use coconut oil too often it makes my skin break out. I only use it on my face in the winter when my skin is really dry. And maybe once a week sparsely.
  • t.northrupI use coconut oil too and absolutely love it! ❤
  • jennaschabenI get asked what kind of mascara I use allllll of the time. Ummmm...none. I pay for those suckers to look long and lush 24/7 🙈😂 #worthit
  • babyonthebrehm@fattofreedom 💯
  • babyonthebrehm@pamandie45 for some reason, pores are never an issue for me. Before cancer, I had more reactions to things but now, menopause is apparently my skin's bff😂✔️
  • babyonthebrehm@jennaschaben bahahhahahahahahhahaha
  • babyonthebrehm@t.northrup it is also a great makeup remover, I understand. Double duty products make mama happy!
  • babyonthebrehm@kellymaeserwriter I like the yes to carrots stuff!
  • t.northrup@babyonthebrehm it is! I've used it that way as well! My old dry skin loves to soak it up! I have it in the shower and apply to my body afterward too! ❤
  • jjohnstone5Coconut oil and sugar is the best body scrub! And the ingredients for beauty and cooking oil are usually the same, so I got a gallon at Costco.
