greatdramsgregAn often overlooked distillery, #Deanston Highland Single Malt is superb, really nice products - who else has tried them? What are your thoughts? @deanstondistillery ⠀

- nifnofLovely stuff mate ! I've tried a fair few the two that stand out are the CS 20 year old and the 18yo the pair of them helped shape what is proving to be a long lasting love of sherry. The 20yo in particular was mind blowingly delicious! I do love the vaulted mill ceilings of the warehouse..it's like modern day up up-cycling on a distillery sized scale with an incredible dose of history to compliment it. You got a favorite mate ? Also what are your thoughts on the new core range packaging and the 40yo packaging?
- causewaycoastwhiskeyreviews@greatdramsgreg the 12 year old is definitely worth investigating over the usual standards such as Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Balvenie and the like....very fruity, liked it a lot. Love the 18 year old. Great complexity from a full bourbon cask maturation...no fancy finishes.
- greatdramsgreg@nifnof you'll read my thoughts very soon on GreatDrams. The 40 was stunning. Genuinely a treat.
- maltnerdNever got into the very old stuff, but up to about 18yo I always found a bit underwhelming and imbalanced. Not "bad" per se, just under performing against the competition in the same price bracket. Sometimes a distillery is overlooked for good reason.
