ayoolaiwayemi@Regrann from @iaminyeneakpan - WE ARE RUNNING TOO FAST IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. ..
They said we are in the Era of fast foods and microwave life. The era of speed and all that. This is very good. BUT we have so many people that are running very fast to NOWHERE. ..
I remembered when I was still a very young teenager, I was always looking forward to clocking my 18th birthday. Why? Because that was the time they told us that maturity starts. That was the time they told us we are allowed to drink alcohol. That was the time they told us we will be a 'man'. And so, I was eagerly looking forward to that. (I know this resonate with most of us also).
But after my 18th birthday, I wasn't happyy. I felt so empty. I thought they said that was when I'll experience true happiness? ..
I felt so empty even an empty bottle was 'filled' when compared to how my life was then.
Why did I felt that way?
The answer was that I was running to nowhere (without a direction). I related being a "man" to being 18 years and above. I had the WRONG EXPECTATIONS about being an adult.
This is why most people are having serious issues in their lives or marriage right now.
They run so fast in Life with the wrong expectations. They run too fast into marriage with the hope that marriage will 'fulfill' them. ..
And when their WRONG EXPECTATIONS are not meant, they began to think maybe life is unfair or their village people are after them.
For others, they began to think maybe they married the 'wrong person' or maybe marriage itself is bad.
As the popular saying goes, "When a PURPOSE of anything is not know, ABUSE is so sure". ..
If you don't KNOW the essence of why God created you, why you are still alive up to this moment, why you are single, why you want to go into that relationship, why you are still in that relationship, why you want to get married, or why you are even married..., definitely you will ABUSE it.
It's far better to run in the RIGHT DIRECTION at YOUR OWN PACE, than to run in the wrong direction. "It's not the SPEED that matters, it is the SEED (purpose) that matters."- ETI-INYENE G. AKPAN
