  • msginginlyHotpotting day!! The rains came and so apt to delve into hot steamy soups. This is like a yin and yang soup. ◾◾
    Two types of Taro spare rib soups. One is spicy and the other is not. The spicy had just a mild heat.. not like those mala base. It gets alittle salty as it boils down. The other which was our favorite, had a smooth creamy but not thick consistency. Taro pieces, tofu and golden brown spare ribs swam in the broth. The non spicy soup had a delicate sweetness. Very umami.

    This restaurant, originated from Taiwan, is relatively quite new. It was abit strange that the service staff did not even asked if we wanted a drink as compared to the next table (who came later) was somewhat given a better service. As for condiments like sauces, it is "help yourselves" and this was not communicated to us till I asked for it. So service wise... room for improvement. ◾◾
    Being located in MBS, it is pricey. Pay for a pot of soup alone then the other ingredients are at another separate cost. This one I had is $48 and can be shared between 2 to 4 pax. I do love the beautiful oriental porcelain pot. My recommendation is try the non spicy soup. Quite comforting!
