bagusmutendiGood morning, my fellow bibliophiles. May the new week be booktiful for us.
This week's edition of @classicfm973 #BookOnReview with @benjiclassicfm and inspired by @etisalatreads will explore the stories in @Osisiye #OsisiyeTafa Sixty Percent of a True Story, published by Styrax Publishing in 2014.
Osisiye Tafa is a blogger, author, culture and literary enthusiast, dog lover, power bike rider and has been published in The Guardian, Businessday, Thisday, Ovation, Y-Naija, BellaNaija, among others. He writes faction-fictionalized re-telling of actual events which he shares on his blog, LINK. .
Sixty Percent of a True Story is a semi-nonfiction story about the author’s experiences, as well as those of his friends, while in the university and shortly after graduating.
Divided into three parts; the first, a Distant Memory, is from Osisiye’s point of view, the second from Korede’s and the third, Sixty percent of a true story, is about Chris — from Osisiye’s point of view.
All parts are written in the first person.
Tune in this Saturday by 9pm to hear him talk about his book, Simba, what death looks like, photography and everything literary happening in his life and Nigeria. It promises to be engaging.
