baritesslerI'm taking a little break from my daily hiking right now because I sprained my ankle. I was taking my son to a soccer tournament at 7:00am (I'm so not a morning person!) and I stepped on a pile of rocks wearing my Dansko boots and my ankle turned and I was down on the ground. But I had to quickly get up and drive an hour to get my boy to the soccer game! Only grade 2 sprain but it's a sprain and I'm trying to let it heal and not re-injure it. I rested, iced it, then rested for a few days after it happened. And then I started hiking again and it blew up all swollen again so it's trying to tell me something! So I'm back to resting and then found my way back to yoga. I'm using arnica, getting laser on my ankle and wearing this brace. I'm not so happy about this brace but I'm trying to relax into it. Today was my 4th yoga class in the last week. I'm way more comfortable hiking and dancing but I need to find another pathway for now so I can connect with my body or I start going crazy. So I'm doing Yin Yoga, which is super slow and simple and we hold poses for a long time. It's perfect for where I'm at right now. #yoga #yinyoga #sprainedankle #bodymindsoul #listening
