"Wherever you are, be all there" 🌺 And that's what's been ringing in my ears for the last 7 weeks.

I listened to a podcast from NPR early on my trip about how daydreaming, mind wandering and,  multitasking can lead to unhappiness, anxiety and damage our relationships. No one needed to tell me the reality of this research because my nickname growing up has been the daydreamer. Even searching out other ways this year to help my ADD, scans of my brain showed most of my waking hours I spend daydreaming. True story. 
So I committed my mind to being fully in the current place I found myself in. (Some call this mindfulness ) Whether I was at the table, in the ocean, conversations with people, on a hike, farming, car rides, reading, answering emails, naps etc. and you know what friends... It's freaking hard when I have carved a thick path of mind wandering and doing 10 things at a time for years but with a gentle push back to the present I found joy I haven't experienced in the smallest things. 
In a few days I'll have an extended blog post about my tips for mindfulness and being all there. Along with many more Hawaii photos!  It's time to go back to work and be with my beautiful little town again. Rest is always worth it. #beingpresent #hawaii #happyhannah
